Tuesday, October 20
Cowork at the West Village Rehearsal Co-Op - 1pm-7pm
The Flow of the Day
1:00-2:00pm | Quiet Hour
Ease into the afternoon with a lower-sensory hour for quiet coworking. IndieSpace staff will be around if anyone has questions or wants some informal help.
2:00-3:00pm | Open Coworking + Pay Your People Office Hours
Open coworking continues! Come work on whatever you’d like and connect with others. If you’re working on an IndieSpace Pay Your People application, the staff will also be available for drop-in questions and application support.
3:00-4:00pm | Pay Your People Grant Info Session!
Join IndieSpace’s Grant Manager for a step-by-step walkthrough of the Pay Your People Grant, including what the grant is, eligibility, how to apply, and what you’ll need to submit. Bring your questions!
4:00–5:00pm | Continued Conversation + Coworking
Stick around after the info session for additional questions, application support, or regular coworking and light snacks.
5:00–6:30pm | Happy Hour & Community
Close out the day with drinks, snacks, and time to hang out with the IndieSpace community.
Potluck throughout the day
Bring something to share if you can (totally optional). It’s always a simple, generous way to take care of each other and spark conversation.
Why This Gathering Matters
IndieSpace Together offers a different kind of day than many artists usually get. It’s a place to show up to get some work done, meet someone new, learn more about a grant, have a meal, or spend time alongside other people who understand what it means to make independent art in New York City. We know that connection is a resource. And artists need it.
IndieSpace Together also gives us a glimpse of what we hope to make possible every day at IndieSpace Hell’s Kitchen. We’re building a permanent home where artists can create and rehearse, but also gather, work, organize, share resources, rest, and feel like they belong.
Events like this help us practice that future now, shaping a space that truly reflects what our community needs to thrive.
The Connection Lottery
By attending, you’re entered in the IndieSpace Connection Lottery for a chance to win $500 to support your artistic journey. The recipient will be chosen at The Big Give 2026 in December.
Being present is part of the process, and this is our way of celebrating that!
