IndieSpace Together is a community-powered gathering space for artists to connect and recharge. The November one is about Friendsgiving! With themes of celebration and belonging. Bring a dish, a side, a snack. There will also be food provided.

This IndieSpace Together will be structured differently than our recent gatherings. We’ll have an evening gathering focused on connection and dinner!
The evening is designed to be flexible, welcoming, and centered on the kind of connection that keeps our creative community strong.
The Flow of the Day
3:00-5:00pm | Coworking, Networking, and Connection Time
Community networking time! It’s a more social window for conversations, connections, and idea sharing. You can connect with other artists, producers, writers, and collectives, or even use the time to get some work done in good company!
5:00-8:00pm | Friendsgiving 2026 Dinner
An evening potluck to slow down, connect with fellow artists, and celebrate the spirit of care in our indie theater community.
Pay Your People Application Support
IndieSpace Together will be held just before the Pay Your People grant deadline (November 15).
If you’re working on an IndieSpace Pay Your People application, IndieSpace staff will be available for questions and application support.
Optional Art/Creativity Activities
We will have a small creation table where folks can contribute a word, a wish, a sketch, or a short note that honors what they hope to see grow in our indie theater community. These contributions will come together as part of a collective piece at The Big Give on December 8.
Why This Gathering Matters
We want to take time to be together, connect with each other, and share gratitude for the community that holds us up.
IndieSpace Together offers a different kind of day than many artists usually get. It’s a place to show up to get some work done, meet someone new, learn more about a grant, have a meal, or spend time alongside other people who understand what it means to make independent art in New York City. We know that connection is a resource. And artists need it.
IndieSpace Together also gives us a glimpse of what we hope to make possible every day at IndieSpace Hell’s Kitchen. We’re building a permanent home where artists can create and rehearse, but also gather, work, organize, share resources, rest, and feel like they belong.
Events like this help us practice that future now, shaping a space that truly reflects what our community needs to thrive.
The Connection Lottery
By attending, you’re entered in the IndieSpace Connection Lottery for a chance to win $500 to support your artistic journey. The recipient will be chosen at The Big Give 2026 in December.
Being present is part of the process, and this is our way of celebrating that!
