The Big Give 2023 - Appreciation and Love

We continue to be filled with gratitude, love, and joy after The Big Give 2023. Last week, we shared a list with all of the Pay Your People grant recipients. You can view that here! Please visit their websites and support their work!

This post is an opportunity to highlight the incredible organizations and individuals who were critical to The Big Give and all of IndieSpace's work. Their dedication, creativity, and hard work ensured the event was successful, and we are so grateful for them.

We are so lucky to have a phenomenal community of sponsors, volunteers, and colleagues!

- We continue to be eternally grateful to the Howard Gilman Foundation for the ongoing and generous support. We are thrilled to receive funds from a foundation that clearly understands the power of the arts to transform lives and the value of the indie theater community. Thank you for supporting this community.

- Tito’s Handmade Vodka for sponsoring our bar – each and every year. We love you, Tito’s!

- The Chelsea Factory for making The Big Give feel so joyful and comfortable. You continue to be a fantastic partner. Thank you to Lauren Kiel, Laurel Toyofuku, and everyone at the Chelsea Factory for hosting us!

- The IndieSpace Board of Directors: Raquel Almazan, Joseph Auld, Brian Berk, Veshonte Brown, Andrew Clarke, Brea Clemons, Dechelle Damien, Maya Quetzali Gonzalez, Pamela Kupper, Paul Leibowitz, Marty Linsky, Samuel Morales Jr., Siobhan O’Neill, and Erez Ziv.

- Special thanks to Dechelle Damien, Marty Linsky, Siobhan O’Neill, and Erez Ziv for the tremendous extra support at Chelsea Factory. And Raquel Almazan for closing the program on Zoom (even though it was 3:30am where she was)!

- A very special thank you to New York City Council Member Erik Bottcher for joining us at The Big Give and for picking one of our Deep Roots grants! We are so grateful for his dedication to indie artists within his district and throughout the city.

- Kimberly and Shelby of Inclusive Communication Services for ASL Interpretation. You are such an excellent partner for so many events!

- Jane Jung from Ping Chong and Company who donated wine and beer.

- Thanks to Bill from NPOC Services and Justin from Social Change Consulting, who provided fantastic help behind the scenes.
