NYC Mental Health Offerings for November 2025

Hi Friends,

When we talk about mental health, it’s easy to think of it in black and white terms, as if you’re either “healed” or you’re not. But the truth is, mental health is a journey, and every journey has its bumps along the way. If we don’t talk about those hiccups, we start expecting perfection from ourselves. And what a heavy (and unrealistic) load to carry that can be.

You know that little voice that says, “If it’s not perfect, why bother?” Yeah, that one. It sneaks into our work, our relationships, even our self-care routines. But waiting for “perfect” often keeps us from making progress at all. Whether it’s starting therapy, setting boundaries, or simply getting out of bed and doing your best, “good enough” is often more than enough. And if you stumble along the way, that’s okay too!

Because if I were driving from New York to California and got a flat tire in Colorado, I wouldn’t start the trip over—I’d fix the tire and keep going.

So this month, let’s give ourselves permission to show up imperfectly, because showing up at all is a win.

Wishing you all the best,
Veshonte & the IndieSpace Team
