Join us for The Builders Series on November 3 for Existential Fundraiser Fatigue

Join us for the next meeting of The Builders Series, our quarterly gathering of artists, cultural workers, and nonprofit leaders running independent or small-scale organizations.

Formerly known as the “Growing Small Budget Organizations Call,” we meet quarterly and invite an expert on a specific topic to join us, not to lecture, but to engage in an open dialogue with the community. It’s a space for honest exchange where we bring in what we’ve experienced in the field.

Together with the guest expert, we explore questions, share insights, and search for inspiration and solutions. It’s a collective space for thinking and building, shaped by real work and real voices. 

Our next session will take place on Monday, November 3, from 4:00–5:00pm EST over Zoom.

Dawn Heuff from Aurore Fundraising Consultancy will join us.

Dawn is based in the Netherlands and has experience working with US, UK, and EU-based projects. She has worked as a consultant for IndieSpace for the past year, supporting fundraising efforts linked to The Big Give.

Focusing on individual giving and corporate strategic partnerships, Dawn coaches non-profit Executive Directors and Fundraising teams to “take the fear out of fundraising” and helps to bring simplicity and focus to complicated income development projects.

Dawn will lead a discussion, “Existential Fundraiser Fatigue: How can I ask for donations to my project when there are so many other important causes right now?"

Together, we’ll explore the transformative impact of giving and how cultivating a positive mindset can instantly improve the way you approach fundraising.

We'll briefly define key concepts, highlight the importance of values alignment, and discover the power of effective storytelling.

During our hour together, we'll aim to help you gather fresh, creative ideas to approach new supporters and strengthen donor relationships with confidence.

There will be time for open discussion and connection with others facing similar challenges, because none of us should have to figure it all out alone.

This is an event that is part of The Connection Lottery! Attendees will be eligible for The Connection Lottery artist grant awarded at The Big Give 2025.
